When Heaven's blithe winds had

unfolded them

As mine-lamps enkindle a hidden gem,

Shone smiling to Heaven,

and every one

Shared joy in the light of

the gentle sun;

For each one was interpenetrated

With the light and the odour its

neighbour shed,

Like young lovers whom youth and

love make dear

Wrapped and filled by their

mutual atmosphere

Percy Bysshe Shelley

Well to be frank, it is more like a patio with planting opportunities, all I all it is 10 meters / 32.8 feet long, and 4 meters / 13.2 feet wide.

Small in size but it does really keep me occupied, as I do suffer of plantitis-feber. That is as long as the flowers are not pink, except from the oxalis of course.

The only plants in the "garden" were a few tulips and a shrub. The soil was a big problem as it had more sand than Sahara, so some improvements had to be done.

I only plan to live here for a couple of years, for this reason the motto has been;

* Use what you have. No pretty and expensive
plant containers, sticking to my old plastic ones.

* Plants must flower from July to September,

as I prefer my
summer holyday is in this period.

There are plant projects that have gone... not as expected, but I do see this as a part of having a patio with planting opportunities, and I like the brain work.
