Verbascum phoeniceum "Violetta"
Eng; Purple Mullein Violetta
DK; Purpur Kongelys Violetta
Purple Mullein can bloom the same year it is sown, and can do so twice a year when the flower
stalk is removed before it sets seeds.
As the foliage is low growing, only the flower has a significant height of ca. 80 cm,
gladioli or other bulbous plant can be planted under the purple mullin.
This way you will avoid having a "hole" in the garden bed between the first and second blooming period.
The Purple Mullen shown in this photo is a two year old plant.
